Bishop Beall
VP of Marketing, Chroma Color
Waxhaw, North Carolina

Bishop and his wife, Kristy, were invited on a vision trip with Sports Outreach to Uganda in 2012 and the Lord used that experience to “wreck them in a most beautiful way”. Every aspect of their lives were transformed; spiritual, marriage, parenting, finances, serving, etc. Bishop went on to lead SOI trips to Uganda in 2015 (SOI’s largest medical mission to date) and then in 2017 (medical/agricultural focus). Bishop joined SOI’s Board of Directors in 2016 and was elected to serve as Chairman in the Fall of 2021.

For more than 30 years, Bishop’s career has been in Manufacturing & Technical Sales, which began shortly after graduating from Miami University (OH). His current role is Vice President of Sales at Chroma Color Corporation where he serves on the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors for the company. Bishop describes Sports Outreach as his “Why behind his What”, a phrase he likes to use when challenging his teammates to find their passion. His commercial leadership role is his “What” (what he does day-to-day) and Sports Outreach is his “Why” (his God-given passion and purpose).

Bishop and Kristy have been married for 30 years, live in Waxhaw, NC (south of Charlotte), and are members of Transformation Church (Indian Land, SC). Their grown children, Courtney and Nathan, graduated college and are now making their own marks on the world. With their nest now empty, Bishop and Kristy enjoy serving in the local community, traveling internationally, and all types of outdoor adventures (hiking local trails, fly fishing, etc.). They are hoping to lead another SOI trip to Uganda and Kenya in 2023-2024.

Much like Sal Ferlise, Bishop is an inspired connector of people and resources. He is an encouragement to the global SOI team, a faithful donor, a prayerful intercessor, and is fully committed to the mission of SOI.
