Dan grew up in East Africa as the son of missionaries and later attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara where his love for the people of Africa intersected with meeting Sports Outreach founder Russ Carr. He joined the SOI board in 1999. Dan is an elder at Santa Barbara Community Church. He and his wife Kathi, who have been married for over 37 years, and their extended family love the people and ministry of SOI and can’t wait to spend time with them whenever they can.
